Donald Maddox
Families in Transition

Donald Maddox was called home to rest
Friday, March 26th.

I was blessed to know Don for the short time that we had. Wendy has been friends with him and his wife Betsy for a long time through their jobs. Don and I became fast friends from the moment we met; Don had such an easy going nature and was just a pleasure to chat with.

We would visit with him and Betsy at their home, or they would come up and visit us at ours when they needed a break from their day to day.

Donald had spent many years as a Valet at PRMC(Tidal Health - Salisbury) and met and befriended so many of the people who would pass through, simply becuase he was a genuinely nice guy, compassionate towards others and he took the time to listen.
The family session that we had for Don and Betsy was so much fun. We started the day off with just the two of them, and boy did they shine. Don was dressed to the nines in a wonderful 3 piece suit and Betsy was radiant in several beautiful dresses.

This particular portrait, one of my favorite from the day, was a silent collaboration between Don and I. You can just feel how much he loved Betsy and just how beautifully happy he made her.
Donald and Betsy shared a large blended family where they all lived, celebrated, and mourned together for this amazing man, who touched so many lives.
