Harrington Father/Daughter Dance 2019

I love Family Portraits; but even more I LOVE Family Portraits with young children! So many times, I hear photographers on groups talk about how they love taking family portraits but only if the kids are grown and have moved out of the house; what does that even mean? I love the little bundles of energy and happiness and storms and tantrums that kids bring to our sessions.

Well, Saturday March 23rd I was asked to photograph the Father/Daughter Dance at the Harrington Fire Hall that was put together by Virginia Navarro. This was a first for me, I have participated in Father Daughter Dances as a guest before with my own girls, but this was my first time photographing an event like this. I knew how important it was to capture these precious moments between these amazing children and their fathers. There were so many beautiful princesses, and I felt a big responsibility to these families to capture this special moment, because of the memories shared. Fortunately, Virginia’s mother had created a beautiful arbor that was used as the centerpiece for the portraits; and all the girls were excited and in great spirits. It was truly a magical night.

I have so many favorites from this night; I have included a few of them here.
